Code to live

    I've been waiting to make an entry about this.  My friend Josh Holmes and his Developer Evangelist compatriot Steve Loethen have launched a new series on Channel 9 called Code to Live .  The principal of the show is to focus on software engineers who do just that, Code to Live.  But more so, code because it's their passion.  So it's for all those folks who commit to the community, or even just write code in their spare time.  It's actually a pretty neat idea in my opinion.

    I was pretty stoaked when I first heard about it.  Josh hit me up on IM and asked me to do an Interview for his new show on channel 9.  Naturally ego took over and I got all pumped.  A couple weeks later and you can see the results here (http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=343704).  Admittadly I'm not making any ground breaking comments or even going off on one of my "Tech in 5 min" rants.  My buddy Dave Baldwin puts it best in his review:

Dave says:
its like the interview with the hideous beast, that we do not want to show to the public, so we will film it in half light

    But it was fun.  I even got to play with the Microsoft Harley (seriously, the title says Microsoft corp. on it)  So anyway, give it a look , but use a mirror when looking at it, if you make direct eye contact with the WMV you will be turned into a pile of AOL cd's.

It was a good interview, but what /was/ with the lighting?

Thanks;

What happened is we originally shot it at my house, but Sam (the guy behind the camera) was like a drunk sailor stumbling around my place, and they couldn't cut the video down from 11 min to 5. So, at last min. Josh said "I'll buy you a beer if you meet me at the hungry wolf so we can re-shoot the interview"

Ah, the lure of free beer cannot be so easily resisted. All is forgiven. :)
